September 1, 2011 – According to reports a Loma Linda, San Bernardino doctor has been charged with sexual assault of patients. According to the San Bernardino personal injury attorneys, an urgent care doctor Ramon Fawzi Fakhoury age 35 of Norco, faces eight felony counts involving sexual assaults of patients.
Fakhoury a part time urgent care doctor at Loma Linda University Hospital allegedly began sexually assaulting patients in July. The charges against the doctor include eight felony counts that include forcible acts of sexual penetration, sexual battery, along with crimes against an elderly adult and assault of a minor, with intent to commit rape.
Fakhoury, who owned offices in Rancho Cucamonga and Norco, is being held on $1 million dollars bail and according to detectives after being contacted he turned himself into the West Valley Detention Center. Detectives stated that another doctor at the clinic told authorities that a 67 year old patient also has claimed to have been assaulted by Fakhoury, along with a 32 year old patient treated for chest pain in July. The 32 year old woman told authorities she had been sexually assaulted during the exam, two days after the event. Authorities believe there could be other victims, who should contact them and the California Medical Board is investigating the alleged claims.
